He does
Woodcock too!! Have been hunting woodcock the past two days, trying to give Hunter a
chance to learn what he will about them. I'm delighted to report that he made his
first point - absolutely perfect, tail high, left foot up and staunch. What
a thrill for me, Hunter acted as tho it was a run-of-the-mill exercise.
Unfortunately, it looks as though the flight birds are leaving, and our
season closes today; must be in his genes. I will work him on woodcock this
spring when they come this way on the trip back. In the meantime, I'm going
to work him on grouse as much as I can this fall and winter.
Thanks again for the great gift. Have a great day.

I had a wonderful time in Michigan.
Steamer did a great job on woodcock.
Thru the course of the week I'm guessing
around 15 to 20 flushes per day. Neil would
be happy to know his tail never ticked any.
He is rock solid on points. I killed several birds
over him. By the end of the first day he was also
backing the beeper collars. I hunted two days with a
female setter and Steamer and had 12 to 15 flushes
on grouse both days. We killed 8 to 10 grouse over Steamer.
He found several dead birds for the whole group. He hunts very close
and always comes to me when I whistle. I talked to a gentlemen
from Michigan after I got back who said you told him
to call me. I told him he couldn"t go wrong by buying
a pup from you. Thank's again!!! Alan Littrel, Ohio Venus/Toby litter
