I am proud and if I were the only one to think she was great I might be a little suspicious of my own bias. Fortunately my trainer, Kate Boulos (Cedar Ridge Kennels), who has been a professional trainer for more than 20 years and has trained a national champion (Cedar Ridge Rosebud) says Abby is the best dog I will ever own and she sold me one of my three. That is a high compliment in my book. She desperately wants to breed one of her studs to Abby but I simply have to go back to the source at least the first time. No doubt Kate will end up with a pup, probably in exchange for training.
Remember, in her first and only horseback trial she placed second against a field of 14. She was less than a year old at the time. If I were a trialer I'm sure she would have become a champion, but I am a HUNTER.
Mac must have been phenomenal. Thanks for sharing him.

4-28-02 - I see that Maxine just had a litter. I have "Kay" (Mac/Amy litter 1996) that is from the same pairing as Maxine. My brother-in-law is very intrested in a pup. I know you only have 2 females so I wanted to get a hold of you soon. We would like to come out in the next couple weeks and see them. I'll try to get in touch with you over the next few days. Kay is doing great!! She had a litter of 10 pups almost 2 years ago. I kept 1 female and she also is doing great. She continues to amaze me every season. Keep up the good work.
